France Telecom R&D is France Telecom's Research Center for innovation and service creation. France Telecom R&D's activities cover customer services such as voice and residential, corporate, mobile and radio, broadcast and multimedia, network integration and management including network architecture and switching, transmission and distribution, and horizontal activities such as software technologies and human-machine interfaces. France Telecom employs OpenMaster for Telecom. Evidian and France Telecom together initiated the ObjectWeb Open Source Community that combined Evidian's JOnAS Entreprise Java Bean (EJB) server and France Telecom's Jonathan CORBA object request broker (ORB).
