The certification process

Regular technical training makes a lot of difference in customer projects. In-depth knowledge of Evidian products makes you much more productive, and adds predictability to your schedules:

  • Efficiently determine the customer configuration and final product architecture
  • Deploy your projects quickly and on time
  • Adapt your projects to the customer’s requirements with minimal cost
  • Give excellent training to your customer’s employees

...so that your customers receive the best service and are successful in deploying and using Evidian products.

Addressed profiles

Evidian provides training and certification to four main profiles of pre-sales and services professionals:

  • Architecture and Configuration (ArC): Design the best solution to fit a customer's needs. Decide the technical details of the architecture in agreement with the customer’s project manager
  • Installation, Deployment and Support (IDS): Recommend the most efficient deployment plan and implement it. Provide effective on-site support to customers
  • Customization and Development (CuD): Adapt the Evidian products to fit customer needs. Configure existing products and develop complementary solutions
  • Customer Training (CT): Provide clear and effective training courses to customers, adjust the curriculum to include project-specific modifications.
These four profiles are active during different phases of a project. Each requires different types of skills and information. Evidian provides focused training for each of these profiles.

Certification sessions

Evidian provides certification sessions to become Evidian Certified Expert. Evidian Certified Experts are your strong asset in successfully completing customer projects. They have in-depth experience and practical knowledge with Evidian products. Certification sessions last one day. During a session, we will evaluate the following domains:

  • In-depth knowledge of Evidian products in the target domain (OpenMaster for Telecom, AccessMaster, OpenMaster, PortalXpert, NetWall)
  • Ability to perform a number of tasks pertaining to a specific profile

The attendees must have professional experience in the domain before attending a certification session. Training alone is not sufficient. They can choose to attend a certification session for "Architecture and Configuration" or "Installation, Deployment and Support" for the target domain (OpenMaster for Telecom, AccessMaster, OpenMaster, PortalXpert, NetWall).

Evidian Certified Experts are certified for a given version of Evidian products. When a new version is available, Certified Experts can register for a certification update session.

Testing tools

The type of tools we use for certification depends on the profile. Four different testing tools are used:
  1. Computerized testing: Computer-based test consists of around 20 multiple choice questions in a limited amount of time.
  2. Hands-on exercises: You will be asked to undertake practical tests, such as installing few components or solving configuration issues. These hands-on exercises are used for the "Installation, Deployment and Field Support certification" session.
  3. Case studies: You will receive a case study presenting a customer's required solution or architecture. You will need to analyze the requirement or architecture and prepare a PowerPoint presentation of a proposal or an installation and deployment plan.
  4. Q&A sessions: You will present the proposal or the installation and deployment plan to the Certification board and answer board members’ questions during your presentation.
