Evidian launches three innovative solutions for mobile computing user security

• WiseGuard Mobile E-SSO, the first E-SSO to enable employees to benefit from consistent access management, no matter where they are or what workstation they are using

• Evidian Data Privacy, which protects sensitive information against theft and spying by encrypting data flows and protecting exchanges

• Evidian's E-SSO solution can also utilize TrustWay PPS, Bull's encryption USB key for mobile workstations

Paris, November 22, 2006– Evidian, Europe's leading supplier of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, is extending its portfolio of solutions with three innovative new products for mobile computing user security. All three form an integral part of the company's E-SSO (Enterprise Single Sign-On) offering.

The new solutions combine strong authentication and SSO, access controls, encryption of files on the workstation, and encryption of data exchanged within a workgroup consisting of employees and partners. They have been developed in response to the needs of all kinds of organizations who want to enhance the mobility of their teams, while still maintaining security levels and regulatory compliance.

Innovative solutions to guarantee the security of mobile computing users

Intrusions into information systems or the stealing of sensitive data are risks that organizations cannot afford to take. As a result, they have to respond to two apparently contradictory challenges: being open to increased mobility, while at the same time enhancing security! As experts in SSO—which is designed to ally productivity and security in just this way—Evidian is pushing forward the boundaries by offering simple and effective responses to these issues.

WiseGuard Mobile E-SSO means mobile employees benefit from consistent management of their access to computing resources

Whether they're working within the enterprise itself or remotely (via an VPN IPSEC or SSL extranet gateway, over the Internet from a hotel PC, a home computer or an Internet café...), all employees should be able to benefit from the same simple and secure access to information. To complement Evidian's E-SSO solution, WiseGuard Mobile E-SSO uses the corporate directory and manages all passwords between the E-SSO and Web SSO systems in a consistent way.

This integrated solution enables the most appropriate authentication method for the particular circumstances to be specified: for example, a password for internal access, and an OTP (One-Time Password) token for mobile access. Finally, Mobile E-SSO interfaces with mobile network appliances (VPN SSL), allowing mobile employees to be authenticated just once by the appliance and the enterprise portal at the same time. Based on SAML and SSL industry standards, the solution is compatible with all SSL appliances supporting SAML, such as Juniper Instant Virtual Extranet, for example.

WiseGuard Data Privacy protects against theft and spying on sensitive information, by encrypting data flows on mobile and fixed PCs

Increased mobility is precipitating a real explosion in loss and theft of PCs. In order to secure themselves effectively, organizations need security solutions that guarantee that no unauthorized person can access data stored on PCs or exchanged within a workgroup. To meet this imperative, Evidian is extending its portfolio of E-SSO offerings with WiseGuard Data Privacy. A purely software solution, this simple and integrated product combines application access control with encryption of data flows and exchanges of sensitive data. This AES 256 bit strong encryption solution offers very high levels of performance, with much lower CPU utilization rates than its rivals. In addition, the solution enables secure exchange of information between employees and partners.

Evidian's E-SSO offering can now make use of TrustWay PPS, Bull's universal very high security USB encryption key for mobile workstations

WiseGuard responds to the need for extremely high levels of security, with the advent of very close integration with Bull's USB encryption key—TrustWay PPS—for mobile workstations. With this integration, WiseGuard transforms the TrustWay USB key into a user authentication tool, encryption processor and ultra-secure memory resource (1Gb). Being operated on the key itself, the authentication is protected against spyware, key loggers and other weaknesses of the workstation.

Developed using technologies from the defense world, TrustWay® PPS features a universal USB cryptographic processor delivering 30 Mb/s performance, in AES 256 mode, to enable all key management, encryption/decryption, and signature decoding functions that the user needs to be carried to out: strong authentication for all types of applications, VPN IPSEC tunnels, encrypted VoIP, secure messaging,...

Availability and price

WiseGuard Mobile E-SSO is available immediately. For 1000 users, the retail price is €15 per user.

Evidian Data Privacy will be available in January 2007 in English, and the French version will be available in the first half of 2007.

• For 1000 workstations, the retail price of the WiseGuard Mobile Protect module for disk encryption starts at €40 per PC
• For 1000 users, the retail price of the WiseGuard File Encryption module, for encrypted data exchange within workgroups, starts at €50 per user

TrustWay PPS is available immediately. Close integration with WiseGuard will be finalized to industry standards in 1Q2007. For 1000 keys, the retail price of TrustWay PPS 512 Mb starts at €218 per user. The retail price of TrustWay PPS 1Gb is €259. These prices include the VPN client and disk encryption software.
