P&T Luxembourg offers cloud single sign-on with Evidian
LUXEMBOURG – P&T Luxembourg, the largest telecom and postal services operator in Luxembourg, has selected Evidian Enterprise SSO as part of its integrated “cloud computing” IS outsourcing offer. After a single authentication, P&T Luxembourg’s customers will easily access to all their applications on virtual desktops.
For instance, start-ups and affiliates that are establishing themselves in Luxembourg will enjoy a full on-line information system with no significant up-front investment. P&T Luxembourg will provide them with storage, network and applications as a service-oriented architecture (SOI) on a high-capacity fiber network. In just a few days, these customers will use their mail, phone, document management, virtual desktop and ERP and business applications.
This coherent solution required a single entry point as multiple, mandatory logins were out of question. P&T Luxembourg therefore evaluated single sign-on (SSO) vendors. The criteria: no modification of application, delegation, security, audit and fast deployment.
Evidian rapidly turned out to be the right choice, following a pilot site during which the most common applications were quickly integrated to SSO.

You access an all-in-one virtual datacenter that ensures data availability and regulatory compliance”.
To fully master the solution, the P&T Luxembourg organization in charge of the virtualized solution is now using Evidian Enterprise SSO for its own needs. Other departments will be equipped by end 2009.
“Cooperation with Evidian was exemplary and all our internal users are very satisfied. Administrators who used to manage huge numbers of passwords now need just one. All the other passwords are hidden from them, which improves compliance” says Mohamed Ourdane.
With Enterprise SSO, P&T Luxembourg and its potential customers will more easily comply with Luxembourg’s regulations, as per the National Data Protection Commission’s requirements.
